Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Provide phone and email support to our customers on existing deployments.


2. Provide training and deployment support during roll out of new products.


3. Interact with customer needs and convey them to development staff when code changes are needed.


4. Provide development, troubleshooting and support for client systems.


5. Document client needs in our internal task management


6. Client communication and correspondence about project requirements and scope.


7. Ensure that projects finish within scope and with timeframe estimates.


8. See beyond the scope of the project to identify better methods of serving the clients needs.


9. Participate actively in the creation of project architectures.


10. Provide technical support to web clients.


11. Maintain good client communication.


12. Provide project documentation as required.


13. Research new technologies, design methodology and patterns, and frameworks dependent and independent of current projects.


14. Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

Albertson Consulting is looking for a software/web application developer to add to our growing team. This applicant will be responsible for application development, implementation, and integration compliant with project requirements and needs.

General Description of Job

Actively participates in the development and implementation portions of the Software Development Life Cycle relative to web design and development.  Software/Web Developer is responsible for application development, implementation, and integration compliant with project requirements and needs.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

1. Develop web application software, web site layouts based upon customer specifications.
   
2. Develop web reporting systems.
   
3. Develop e-commerce and work flow process system in a web environment against various relational databases.
   
4. Provide development, troubleshooting and support for client systems.
   
5. Client communication and correspondence about project requirements and scope.
   
6. Ensure that projects finish within scope and with timeframe estimates.
   
7. See beyond the scope of the project to identify better methods of serving the clients needs.
   
8. Participate actively in the creation of project architectures.
   
9. Provide technical support to web clients.
   
10. Maintain development environment.
    
11. Provide project documentation as required.
    
12. Research new technologies, design methodology and patterns, and frameworks dependent and independent of current projects.
    
13. Evaluate peer developer’s code and prototypes.
    
14. Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

General Qualification Requirements

Education:

Minimum:  Four-year college degree in MIS, CS, or related field or equivalent experience in related field.

Experience:

Minimum:  Two years experience in web application development against Relational Database Management Systems such as Oracle, MS SQL or MySQL.  One year of application server experience.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

Strong web application development skills against relational db systems.

1. Strong E-commerce, transactional, and reporting system experience.
   
2. Strong written and verbal communication skills
   
3. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
   
4. Working knowledge of the Software Engineering Lifecycle
   
5. Extensive knowledge of ASP.net,HTML, Perl, ASP, Javascript
   
6. Proven knowledge of Linux, Windows, Windows NT, and Solaris operating systems

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Database, email, web application, FTP server administration tasks on various platforms.
  
• Build Microsoft based networks, involving Exchange, SQL, Sharepoint, Dynamics and other various new Microsoft technologies. 
  
• Support and maintain servers running various databases such as MSQL, Microsoft SQL, and Oracle.
  
• Apply patches, configure and monitor backups and servers.
  
• Support implementation efforts, test, and maintain custom-designed software applications according to client requirements following industry standards.
  
• Provide appropriate documentation both in program code and for external use.
  
• Written and oral communication of findings to project management.
  
• Continue further education in server support techniques and practices.
  
• Share maintenance responsibilities for the development environment such as Perl, Active directory, .asp and .net.
  
• Act as primary administrator for network servers.
  
• Complete other tasks as assigned by management.

General Qualification Requirements
Education:
Minimum: Four-year college degree in MIS, CS, or related field or equivalent experience in related field.

Experience:
Minimum: Three plus years experience in server administration or software application design and development, Experience on NT, 2K, 2003, Linux, and Sun. Web development, application integration, or database programming and administration in above-mentioned technologies also a plus. Technical customer support background also a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  
• Strong interpersonal skills.
  
• Strong server administration capabilities for 2003, 2000, Linux, and Sun.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  
• Working knowledge of .ASP, ASP.net, Oracle, SQL Server, ACCESS, and JSP technologies.
  
• Extensive knowledge of potential internet security risks.
  
• Extensive knowledge of the Software Engineering Lifecycle.
  
• Ability to deal with complex situations and collaborate effectively with local and/or remote personnel in order to facilitate fast and effective problem resolution.
